Starting on April 1, 2019 and ending at the Picton Fibre Fest May 25, the Yarn Crawl takes folks from Cobourg to Smith Falls and all LYS in-between. Passport includes maps, info on the LYS, restaurants/ cafes in each town and attractions along your route.

Passport Available March 1 , 2019. Purchase through your MKAL/MCAL on Ravelry

Participants purchase a a passport ( $5) and it gives them a booklet that includes maps, LYS info for each stop, restaurant/ cafe guides for each town and attractions of interest along the route.
Passports will be unique to each participant so that shop owners can easily identify, stamp their visit and offer in store events.
Participants have almost 2 months to complete their road trips.
Participants will be included in a Mystery Clue Knit Along where clues arrive over the weeks of the crawl and the yarns they choose could be chosen at any of the LYS in the crawl.
Participants will receive a free pattern in every shop they visit.
Participants will be included in the gift basket draws at the close of the yarn crawl.
( visit at least 4 stores to be entered in draws but there are more prize chances for those doing 5-9 shops and those who complete all 14 shops : potentially there will be 14 chances to win )
A prize will go to one of the completed Mystery Knit along participants.
Participants can also enter as a team category for prizes or they can visit the shops on their own.
There will be a prize for the “Best Design Project Bag” because one part of the passport is that the participant can design and create their own Yarn Crawl Bag; a bag is not part of their purchased passport, rather it is an activity in the yarn crawl.
A FB and Instagram page will be created for participants to share photos as they visit.
We will have a table at the Picton Fibre Fest, Sat.May 25/19 which will highlight photos and prizes.
All LYS gift baskets will be given out in a prize category.
Prizes will be delivered, by us, to the LYS closest to the winner for distribution in the week following May 25.
